Meet Halo: Reach's Noble Team

Halo: Reach is almost upon us. On September 14 the gaming world will be treated to Bungie's swan song in the world of warring Spartans and evil Covenant aliens. Leading gamers into battle is Noble Team, a group of battle tested warriors with one mission: to prolong the existence of humanity through any means necessary. Each of these mighty Spartans has a different personality and a skill set that you'll need to utilize in order to be successful in the perilous world of Reach. To help you on your way, we're here to give you a rundown of each member of Noble Team ahead of our Halo: Reach review which drops on September 11 at 9:01 PM Pacific.

Carter is the leader of Noble Team and is one of the two surviving original team members along with Kat. Carter's seen many battles in his day and has suffered through more loss than any human should. His main concern in Reach is keeping his team alive and bringing them home safe. Let's just hope that doesn't translate into a sacrificial moment where Carter meets his doom to save the rest of the Spartans on Noble Team.

Destroyed limbs don't keep a Spartan III down, as is evidenced by Kat's fully-functional prosthetic right arm. As one of the two remaining members of the original Noble Team (and currently second in command behind Carter), the deaths of her former squad mates weigh heavily on Kat's mind. Couple that with her knack for decrypting classified information that UNSC typically keeps out of the hands of those entering the battlefield and Kat could prove to be one of the more volatile members of Noble Team as Reach progresses.

If the skull painted on his helmet and the knife he wears on his right shoulder weren't big enough clues, Emile is a bad mother who doesn't mind getting his hands dirty. Plus, that awesomely intimidating knife is perfect for Reach's new assassination system. The fact that he hails from the same colony as the one and only Master Chief should be a testament to his killing proficiency. Don't be offended if Emile doesn't congratulate you on your performance in the field as the guy doesn't speak a word.

Jun has seen battle for upwards of 15 years and he's fought against both human and Covenant forces. The years of battle have left Jun mentally scarred, so heavily relying on him in the battlefield might lead to trouble. Still, with Jun's incredible accuracy with the UNSC's sniper rifle, there's no doubt that he'll be a worthy support member for the rest of Noble Team. Couple this guy with a cloaking ability and some dense foliage and the battlefield will be cleared of enemy forces before long.
